Considering the fact that FB2 was 'done' 7 years ago, I find his habit of weeing on coats left on the floor, inside crocs, on bath towels (also left on the floor) and anything remotely non-wee-friendly, extremely frustrating. He just seems to enjoy it.
C1 has just entered the building crying her head off. Apparently there has been an issue involving C2, a spacehopper, and the trampoline. It was only a matter of time. Looks like nothing is broken, and a spot of mummy cuddles, a bowl of cold water, a giggle about how much bird poo came off her feet into the water, and all seems to be on the mend.
Counting down the minutes before I can legally call time on the day, and spur the children upstairs towards their beds. I have a conference call booked this evening with my supervisor and another marker, which I would like to take, speak, and learn from.
The effort to clear down the fridge and the freezer, producing imaginative, edible meals, is going very well. Over the last 2 weeks I have only purchased milk. I fear that a visit to our local discount supermarket will be necessary soon though.....

Milk, a jar of gherkins, various jars of ingredient gunk, 3 carrots, celery, some cheese strings, a bowl with 2 roots of beetroot, and some preserved coriander leaf. Challenge anyone? |
The freezer contains soup. Plenty of soup. And a bag of breadcrumbs. A piece of pork for a roast dinner some time, some frozen hummus, and a box containing something vaguely orange (I wish I could be bothered to label things before I freeze them!).
Still, Andy the Mechanic has been paid. Legal Liz has not, but she can wait until 31st May. Sibling 2 will need to be patient, but I have let him know of our challenge at the moment. I trust that he will be sympathetic.
The little matter of the summer school trip for C2, PGL kit for C1, and other sundry unnecessaries (excluding cat food and Tenalady) may have to take up room on the back burner. I don't mind. We seem to be doing very well indeed. No complaints yet, and as the letter on the side from Them at County Hall stating that we qualify again for another year of free school dinners is clearly visible from where I am sitting, I am fully confident that we will not starve!
My intake of food is still minute too! An evening out with Mr 1957 on Saturday (aka keeping me awake after a day of training) proved that 1 new potato, a couple of bits of green bean and carrot, and the sauce from 'slow-cooked old boot in red wine' is more than enough for me.

Just add red wine, carrots, potato and beans and cook for 8 hours. |
The weight loss has slowed down now, but I am still losing 2-3lbs a week without fail. Roll on the 6 stone landmark.
It's nice to be back after my enforced, laptop-free sojourn into the world of conference centre, hotel room and training sessions.
All I need is a packet of fresh red biros and I am ready to roll.
