Both C1 and C2 were tired (with a capital K), itchy, red and grumpy. My nose resembles that of a serious contender for Rudolf's replacement should the need ever arise. My arms and other bits and bobs are also a neat shade of red.
C2 succumbed almost immediately to a cooling bath laced with lavender oil, with submarine hair-wash, soak and mummy-love, and emerged a different child.
C1 also enjoyed a lavender bath, hairwash and mummy-love.
My decision to keep them at home is based upon real facts including headaches, tiredness, unhappiness and sunburn. They will be at school tomorrow.
My knees are now a multicoloured array of bruises and scabs following Saturday's falling-off-bike incident. The fact that I landed on the arthroscopied knee hasn't helped my comfort.
The stomach has not enjoyed yesterday's trip out, with less water to drink than normal, and a couple of boundary-pushing nibbles on a BBQ sausage, a cashew/apricot energy bar and tea laced with Dairy-loaded milk. Should be back to normal soon. Must stick to the rules. Seeing Bariatric Emma on Friday.

* STOP PRESS: Have to cancel JM-D until another evening as C1 and C2 are in need of a proper early night, and it appears that I can 't stop heaving and visiting the loo. Tummy/Bowel rebellion. :(
