Day 30: Tuesday 9th April

The day is one of those slow, get-nothing-done days.
Although I have managed to complete the rabbit mission. Doug and Darius now have carrots.

Doug Bun and his Darius!
I also had a commission piece from Auntie K........

Don't ask.........
For those with an interest in scale/size.....

Anyway.......

Moving swiftly on..... have spoken to Bariatric K, I am definitely not eating or drinking enough. Hence the repeated bladder infections, weird acid-gut feelings, diarrhoea and dry-heaving. I am going down the route I tried to avoid:  alarms on the phone to remind me to eat and drink!!

It sounds silly, but I really do forget to eat or drink. Giving myself reminders seems to be the best way forward for me at the moment.

Mine is currently 2nd from the bottom - yes - I know.

C1 has excelled herself today. Not only has she carried all my clean laundry, and her own pile, upstairs, but she has put it all away. She has also unpacked the shopping delivery and put it all away. Double stars.

C2 has remained glued to the sofa. I will be addressing this tomorrow while C1 is at her cookery day.
Or, as his battery is about to run out, I will hide the charger until he has done yesterday's jobs, and not give it him back until he has completed his list.

I will continue later once I have finished wrestling with my son.

After a restorative nap, following burps, acid reflux and some violent action in the bathroom, I heard C2 creep upstairs, drawers opening and closing.

A little voice whispers in my ear: 'I have put away all my clothes, please can I have my laptop back?'.

Yes, my son. You can. But even though you consider that this battle is won, the war is not over. Oh no!!!

Shortly after the laptop hand-over, I received a follow-up call from Bariatric E who, having spoken to Bariatric K this morning, had perused my notes and needed to talk to me about some stuff.

1: It appears that my iron levels are low (blood tests)
2: It appears that my Vitamin D levels are low (also blood tests)
3: I show symptoms of lactose intolerance (quite commonly developed by patients recovering from what I am doing), so need to avoid milk.

4: I may have a bladder infection (yep)
5: I may have a bowel infection (oh)
6: I need to get down to the GP as soon as, and ask for further blood tests, and take along some 'samples'. (Eek - we all know what that means!)

7: I have acid reflux again, so while down the GP's, ask for some more of the dissolve-under-the-tongue stuff that I had after discharge from hospital in my suitcase full of drugs.

So, along with all of the above, I am still not getting enough calories into my body to keep a small gnat on the move, so.......

Today's BIG question is..... what CAN I eat then?

Puree moving towards mashable food. Still only 2-3 tablespoons per sitting. No dairy. Hmmmmmmmm....

Looking forward to my gorgeous friend Frannypan coming over tonight. She usually lightens all moods, and encourages an element of funny fun into what at the moment seems to be a non-fun kind of time for both of us. There will be no wine involved. Really!
